My name is Gabe Eyrich. I am a guide, council facilitator, thinker and writer. My work is about freedom, yours and mine, from stories and identities which limit the life of the soul. Nature, dreaming, creative expression, and deep listening are means through which I work and live. If you feel called to work with me, know that we create the way together, as equals, listening and responding to what arises. We name our own boundaries and agree to do no harm.
I have two decades of experience facilitating transformation in and out of nature through rites of passage work and ceremony, also through human relationship, both in and out of circles. This includes training as a wilderness guide with The School of Lost Borders and living The Way of Council with The Ojai Foundation (now Topa Institute). Along the way, I earned a BS in Sociology and an MA in Pychology and Writing.

What do I mean by listening?
When you have asked me to listen to you, you have asked for witnessing, you know that something important is waiting, sometimes patiently, sometimes urgently, to reveal itself.
The way I listen is a ceremony into which that 'something' can begin to arrive.
I act as a guide through your wilderness of personal stories, patterns that shape you, and resistant places in your consciousness, possibly the result of unacknowledged pain, or potential.
To this end, I invite you to show me who you are.
My work may catalyze aspects of you that live in the dark. I offer you opportunities to remember, develop, nurture, and/or heal whatever those aspects are.
Because the soul drives this process, there is no guarantee that it will be easy or predictable.
I commit to guiding/listening from a place of integrity and safety. If I am not able to do this, or if what arises in you asks for more, I will refer you on.

I work with individuals and collectives. My work is particularly suited to those who, for whatever reason, are not willing or able to complete extended wilderness fasts or quests, yet desire the transformation that such practices offer. Contact me for a good listening to.
